Which 30 amp power box?

We have a small mountain lot in central PA. I am having electric service connected on the property. I need a 30 amp outlet/power box installed. Any recommendations on a brand or style? 30 amp box with a breaker, 30 amp box with a 20 amp outlet included, etc. The box will be outside on some type of post. Do I need to get box with a built in post (like most campgrounds have), or can I put it on a wooden post? All thoughts and suggestions welcome.

Mine is on a wooden post... the ones at RV parks are because of the dummies.. who run over them or pull out with the cord attached.

I would run 50 amp service broken into 30 and 20 amp. That way you could use 30 amp for trailer and still have 20 amp for battery chargers or what nots.

I put mine on a 6x6 treated wooden post with a double breaker box, 20 and 30a. Another small weather proof box with a double 20 receptacle and another small box with a 30a rv connector. You can spend as much as you want, I was trying to spend as little as possible. All material purchased at my local Lowes.

It is functional and inexpensive.

We have a 200amp box on our river lot. From there we have installed several 30 amp outlets and a few 20 amp outlets. I didn't install any 50 amp outlets because we never need the ac on the river.

The lot use to have power. There is a 100 amp box there. I have the 30 amp single pole breaker to install in the 100 amp box. I just don't know what 30 amp box to go with. I like the idea of having the 20 and 30 amp outlets at the trailer. I never considered separate boxes for the 20 and 30s. Does anyone have a brand of box to buy?

The kind of box is probably going to depend on what is available locally. I put a simple 30 amp box that was at home depot and if I need a regular plug I pull it off my camper receptical. What to me is more important is making sure you have the right wire for the length of run. I had to use 10 which is rated for 30 amps but because of the distance I can only get about 20 without the voltage dropping too low.

tafische I plan on using 2/8 for that reason. I haven't decided exactly where I will put the box. The spot that I want to put the camper into needs to have 2 big trees cut down.
