Wireless Thermometer
Good morning all you camping junkies. We are looking for a wireless thermometer to put in our 4212. My wife really likes to know what outside temp is from inside! We have had a few in past campers but didn't work or last very well. Any suggestions? Thanks and happy camping.

Everyone I've had has failed, Typical Chinese junk, but that seems to be the only thing available. I bet you already have a couple perfect wireless thermometer already in your possession ! It's called a cell phone with a weather app. That's all I use now and has worked for years.

I have this one I really like. It has a glass column filled with red liquid and numbers in english. Side benefit, it needs no power or cell signal.

Mine is a "Temp Minder" that I got from Minder Research (same folks that make the TPM system) - it's their brand of the chinese one you see all over.
http://www.minderresearch.com/tempmi...ter-and-clock/
I did find a nice trick for mounting the outside sending unit (and the inside unit for that matter). See: This Post
Mine has worked fine across two RV's and about 6 years. It's nice because it shows high/low temps - so you can see how cold it got last night :-).
By the way - when I was looking up the URL for my unit, I was reminded that it can read up to 3 sending units. Never could figure out why you would want to do that until I read a few reviews where people put sending units in their underbelly and or in their REFRIGERATOR! Brilliant!

I have the same brand. A very simple model. I have a command hook out side the door that I place the outdoor sensor on when we get to camp. I have a friend that places it on top of a tire. Once he forgot it, drove over it, then remembered he forgot it. It was smashed pretty good. Now he has it secured to the underbelly of the TT.

I have a hard time understanding this whole thing of wanting to know the temperature (my wife is the same way).....
I'm not judging and have nothing to offer in regards to a good product, but we were talking about this the other day, so I was just curious.
Is this just a simple curiosity or is it used in some sort of decision making process.. my wife seems to think that it helps her decide what to wear... (which started a argument) as I then had to ask what the cutoff point is for blue, yellow, black, white or red etc.. then I was told it might rain.... and of course I had to ask how a thermometer would indicate rain... and she shook her finger at me and said I just didn't understand.
Women are complicated.... It's like trying to figure out what color the number A smells like...

I can't explain it, I can't rationalize it but I need to have weather station stuff around me. I just like knowing current conditions and what's coming.
I've got a full-fledged weather station at home, hooked up to the network. I've got a mini-station in the RV, and I've got a couple of Weather Radar apps on my phone.
