Question 28BHS - sway bar essential?

We just purchased a 2010 28BHS and are having it towed about 2 hrs to a seasonal site. The former owner (trailer is at his house right now) says there's no sway bar system installed.

Friends of ours who own a 34' trailer will be towing our trailer for us, and they asked if the swaybar pins are being left behind attached to the tounge of the trailer... so when my husband asked the former owner about the pins thats how we found out there's no swaybar system, and I'm wondering how important it is if we're not going to be towing it other than one trip.

I understand what swaybars do, but I'm just not sure if they are necessary, or at least necessary in the case of only towing it 200 km's or so. (Which I believe is about 120 miles).

Are you talking about sway controll or weight distribution bars?
