I wasn't able to open the link here, but I believe that those dogs were Border terriers. We have a BT and are friends on FB with the breeder who posted that story a couple days ago.
Our BT goes just about everywhere (except work and shopping) with us and is a part of the family.
My sister and brother in-law usually put at least one of their dogs in the camper while traveling since they are both large dogs and they have a small TV...

They were. Evidently the owner was traveling home from a competition, somewhere near Flagstaff, when the fire occurred.
