Too high then. $15k is more like a dealer's retail price.
Regarding miles, don't be too scared of that. If you come to an agreement on price, stipulate that you want the mechanic of your choice to give it a once over. Ask about maintenance. Were the plugs and O2 sensors replaced at 100k? Has the transmission fluid been changed every 50k, rear differential every 30k (front also if 4WD) as specified in the maintenance chart? Have all recalls been performed (I don't believe there are too many on that truck)?
Many who are towing are doing with high miles on (including mine! just turned 100k earlier this summer). There are
176 people in this forum towing with over 100k on the odometer. Granted a portion of the really high mileage trucks are probably diesels.
We towed our old trailer on a cross country trip of almost 6k miles with a '95 'burb that had 125k on when the trip started. My dad has that truck now and still tows with it at almost 200k. It's all about how mechanically sound the truck is.
