Smile Back up cam

I just purchased a back up camera from iballhitch.com This is just what I need for hooking up the trailer by myself (which is most of the time). It has an adjustable magnetic base for mounting anywhere and the monitor plugs into the "cigarette lighter" 12v receptacle in the cab.

I've had my iball for several years and really like it. Two things, for whatever reason, the camera seems to prefer Duracell batteries and works best on them. I've even talked to iball and that is what they recommend. The other one is to make sure to keep the magnet on the camera clean so that it doesn't scratch your vehicle.

FWIW, I found their website at this url:

iBallhitchcam.com - iBall Wireless Trailer Hitch Camera

I just may have to get us one of these. I see the website takes an additionnal $30.00 off with key word "cash". Very nice. Now to see if the boss agrees! lol

Don't want to hijack the thread but does anyone consider a camera for the back of their TT? I often set up camp by myself and then my family might join me the next day. Backing up a trailer by yourself is interesting to say the least

This camera can be used in that capacity as well. Although it comes with a magnetic base, i would consider attaching it with zip ties or something that would hold better. Not sure how far from the monitor the camera can be to still get decent reception since it is a wireless setup.

Wife purchased one of these for my Christmas present. I have no depth perception, being born blind in one eye, and for me this is the best "gadget" I have ever owned. No problem placing the hitch "on the money" every time now. Would not be without it.
