Back up cameras?

I'd like some input on back up cameras. I would want it for hitching/hooking up.
I have looked a the Peak and the iBall The peak is somewhat permanant, and wired in to the TV.
I liked the iBall, small portable, priced reasonably, what I need.
Anybody have one? Pros Cons?

I have one from the factory in my truck and it is very helpful when trying to hitch up alone. However, in certain light conditions there are shadows cast that render it completely useless and I still have to get out and actually look once or twice until I am lined up right.

I have the iBall. It works OK, I like the fact I can switch it between our truck and Suburban really quick w/o having to buy 2 of them. I've got the bracket set up so that it will work for both vehicles w/o moving it. I've had it about a year and a half. No problems with it. I did think the screen was starting to go bad, but it turns out just needed a new battery in the camera. Their tech support responded quickly with the correct fix. Can't argue with that. Once in awhile I get interference and the screen will go fuzzy for a second, but usually not to bad or more than a second or two. Sometimes in can be a pain to have to get it out and place it at the rear of the truck and then get back in the truck. The other thing is, you probably don't want to forget the iBall back there as it may not be there when you get to your destination. I haven't forgotten mine yet, but almost did a couple of times.

Is it as good as a dedicated hard-wired unit? Probably not, but for my older truck and SUV that didn't have one, hard to beat. I think I got mine for something like $89 shipped.

Hello I tried to install a peak wireless on my 2011 ford super crew.It won't work .After installing it didn't work tried relocating the transmitter nothing called peak 800 number talked to tech help.The sinc/ Bluetooth on the truck interferes with the peak transmitter.I gave it to a friend that has a 02 ford super crew and works find has no sinc / Bluetooth on his.i even tried to disable the Bluetooth no good .Would have to go with a hard wire unit if I want a backup camera.

I bought one from my local Z-bart dealer. It is hard wired. The rear view mirror has a small screen in it. Works great when hooking up alone. You can also watch the tree as it gets closer and closer...but that is another story!!!!!!!

I scored a Visionstat wireless back up unit from Camping World for 50 bucks. They were selling stock from another store that had closed. It had a price tag of 299 on it. It comes with a 2.4 inch color monitor and the camera has 9 uv lights. One of the lights didnt work but I can't complain for the cost. I only bought it because the price was right, otherwise I would still be doing it old school. There is nothing wrong in doing it that way.
