Correct tire PSI for 92 Jayco Pop Up

Hi, not sure if I'm in the right section but I have Carlisle USA Trailer tires with my pop up camper. Specifically, 5.30-12. They're rated at 80 # psi at maximum load of 1050 pounds per tire. If my camper and load weighs approximately 1500 pounds, does that mean each tire should have about 55 pounds of psi? In other words about 70% of maximum load? Any insight would be appreciated. Right now my tires have 32# each. Thanks everyone.

Most times, trailer tires should be aired up to max sidewall pressures. In your case you should go to 80 psi each.

Tire max tire pressure is required by law to be molded into the side wall of the tire.
People change tires, so I never go by door sticker.

Always run trailer tires at max pressure noted on the side wall. If you upgraded tires verify the rims can handle the psi. There usually is a stamp either on the inside of the rim, or on the backside of thw rim.

The only time the mfg. door sticker on the trailer is correct is if the same size and load range tire is on the trailer that was installed when new.

If not the safest bet is to use the cold pressure stamped on the tire sidewall.
