Dave and Amy's New 2011 F-250 Super Duty Lariat,
Just wanted to share some news. I didn't know where to post this, but I have a TT so thought I'd post it here. Just bought me a new 2011 F 250 Super duty with the new 6.7L power stroke in it. Don't have any pics yet. Heck, I haven't even taken delivery yet-about 1 week or so. Can't wait to pull with this thing.

Hope for your sake that this is the engine Ford's been looking for since the 7.3.

Keep us up on the fuel mileage while towing your rig. It's suppose to be a pretty good engine, I know they went to the urea emissions system on it like Chevy did.

I know the feeling... :hihi:
But a word of advise... What ever truck you got research out the abilities of it very very carefully. Don't let the racing groups push you too far. Like with my Dodge Cummins I come to find out the maximum power you can produce is about 400-450 HP before you get into trouble.
Because every device on the truck has a limit and shouldn't be push past it...

Yup, what MoparMan said. There is a point where the extra power gets to be a PIA. It is just to easy to generate too much heat at the turbo.

Enjoy that new truck. Would love to have a 250 SD, but just don't tow that much to justify the cost. Trailer Life mag did a comparison of the 3/4 tons which was very interesting.

So far so good. I have had it a week now and I freakin love this truck! I am getting 15.7 average(according to the onboard fuel computer) around town. I haven't had it on the highway yet or towed with it yet. I have to put 500 miles on it before towing, only have 210 right now. I have been told by many that I will have to check my mirrors often to make sure my TT is still back there. Can't wait to tow with it.

When you fill it up be sure and hand calculate and check the accuracy of the trucks computer. Most find the read out on the optomistic side.
