Difference between Suburban and Dodge PU

So far, I have only used my 2002 Dodge Q-cab to pull the trailer. The other day, I hooked the '97 Sub on and went for a run, just to test for ride, etc. What a difference!

The Dodge runs at 2600 or so at 100 kph, with the OD off. The old Sub runs in 3rd, and once it reaches 100, it drops back to about 2200 or so. The Sub rides much, much better than the Dodge. So, guess which one will be my TV now?

I spent all one afternoon wiring in a brake controller and a 7 prong plug, and, lo and behold, it actually all works!! The Sub just had a 4 prong. I ran a hot wire back for charging, plus a brake wire. The Sub has two batteries, so now I will have four.

I will eventually set up my wife's 2001 Sub as well. The old one will do us fine for now. We aren't planning on going to Alaska just yet!

That 97 has a great engine, I miss our 97 Tahoe and the Vortec 350.
