Equalizer Hitch

Well I replaced my Reese WDH setup with an Equal-i-zer. It took approximately an hour to put together and setup. It took longer to find a 1-7/8" thin wall socket to install the ball. Thanks to NAPA Auto parts for helping me out there. All the RV dealers are closed today. The Reese setup was ok, I never had any sway control with it. I was going to get the dual cam setup, but I didn't want to deal with adjusting it and all the mounts to my TT frame.

We loaded the camper as if we were going on a trip and headed off to the nearest Walmart parking lot for a nice flat level surface. Funny thing, in all reality, I probably dont need the WDH. when I measured the front wheel well, uncoupled was 39 1/2". Coupled without WD engaged it went to 40". When I engaged the bars, the measurement went to 39 3/4". According to the instructions, I'm right on the money.

Drove it for about 15-20 miles, it feels great. The only thing I would do is when I'm backing up into a spot, I am going to disconnect the bars. Equalizer customer service says it's not required to do so.

Thanks to my DW for the assistance!

Happy Happy!!
