Ford edge battery drain

Around the first of the year I was looking for a vehicle to tow behind my 02 26SS. I couldn't find anything in my price range. I have a 08 Ford Edge. I ordered a base plate and installed it. I also got the matching tow bar. I know the Edge has a battery drain problem from previous posts. The end of the day the ford battery was dead. I am wondering if anyone had figured out why this happens. In the meantime I just unhooked my battery. Stan

On my Ford F-150 with tow package, there was a 30 amp fuse and relay in the glove box when I got the truck that had to be installed in the power center under the hood which stops the trailer from draining the truck battery.

Why not change your MH to TOAD cord and incorporate the 12volt hot line and keep the battery charged while towing it. That is how I have my SENECA wired for both vehicles that I tow. If you are using a supplemental braking system such as a BRAKE BUDDY that is putting an additional drain on the EDGE.

Most TOAD's have a fuse removed. A Ford dealer should be able to point out the correct fuse.
