GF Performance

Has anybody tried a GF Performance Chip? If so did it work? If so how much? Do you think it is worth the money?

I have tried a GF chip on a Ford Aerostar 4.0L 6 Cyl. 2WD just for testing purpose I found no increase in mileage nor HP. This Aerostar has 184,000 km/130,000 miles. The chip is installed at the IAT (Intake Air Temperature Sensor).
Then I tried an Hydrogen Generator (produces brown gas) on this Ford Aerostar 4.0L and got about 31% increase in mileage. (7.1Km/L to 9.4Km/L) I am still testing during this winter how it stands up against -25C. So far it didn't freeze on me. This Hydrogen Generator is easy to install and uses Distilled water Potassium Hydroxide mix (wintertime adds 1/10 Isopropyl Alcohol The mfg. claims 45% increase but then I think I have to install a EFI regulator in order to gain that. My trips are usual highway and return trip is usually windy. Inspected the intake and exhaust valves after 10,000 km/6300 miles and they are as clean as it can be. My next test will be an 6.0L V8 in a truck as they have more room to install the unit. I am telling you on the 10,000 km I haven't used the 1 gallon mix yet.

Beware of any product that claims huge mileage increase for few dollars... they are all snake oil. Anyone tried "Air Tabs" yet?

I was talking to a fellow camper about Towing. He was very over barron kind of guy who could do no wrong. He was telling me how much better his 1/2 ton truck towed than my 3/4 ton Duramax. Ya'll know the type. He asked about mileage empty and towing and I told him I got 22 mpg local on the highway and 16 mpg combined and I haven't towed our TT enough to tell. (only put 300 miles on it) Then he said his truck got 24 mpg with 5.3 and 3.73 driving 75 MPH plus Then he said he got 16 mpg at 65 mph towing a 32 foot TT. I could not stand it any more and call him on it so he showed me his GF Performace.
I was not sure but $69 for 4 MPG does good. But too good to be true.

Haven't tried them, but I have seen numerous semi trailers with them installed. I don't a commercial company would install them if they didn't work.

Thats funny.
I'm sure at some point his dash indicated 16mpg towing downhill or flat, but Not average. BS or he's lying to himself.

Weather commercial fleets use a product or has no bearing on your use. When you run 30 or 40 thousand worth of fuel thru your tanks each year, even a half percent improvement really helps the bottom line.
For the mileage most rvers drive, really no significance.
