Good bye 04 Gmc Denali, hello Sierra Denali
So, given the current economic climate I was only dreaming of a loaded Sierra Denali. My 2004 Yukon Denali was drop dead gorgeous and I loved it and had pride in it with only 32,000 miles. I just started dreaming- harmlessly....haha.....just kept seeing the Sierra from time to time..........then something strange happened- I looked at one last Friday and my wife smiled and said buy it on Sunday. I know I am lucky to be married to her- but this was completely over the top!

It seems that 04 is the unused year for GM's. My son just bought a loaded 04 3/4 ton chevy crew cab with 31,000 miles. It was totally set up for towing. He also bought a SOB (some other brand) Caliber BH made by Heart Land.

Thanks for all the comments! I was so proud I had to post it. Sort of bragging, yeah- but also just really, really happy. When I got the 04 Denali- I got the SUV I always wanted....and now I have the truck I always wanted. Next stop- hopefully not for many, many, many years.......the Denali packaged Hoveround! Who says wheel chairs can't have it all?

Hey Crabman, I just re-read your post. Honestly, I think I am humbled and a little jealous myself. I had a 1976 GMC Suburban 2 wheel drive with a 454- it use to be a dynomite wagon for a company. It was a great vehicle- crank windows.....etc. I still think about it today and smile. If you ever get another tv- you will obviously love the new one- but miss sorely the old ride- and the lack of payments! Thanks for your feedback- I am happy and lucky- but jealous too. Hats off to you, and a firm respect I now have for older TV that get the job done!
Mike

Yeah my old Chevy is probably used 90% for work. It has hauled and towed a bunch of stuff. Crabs, ice, gas, pots, boats, pot trailer, Boy Scout trailer, TT, lumber, firewood, garbage, etc. Not just a grocery hauler!

Lee,
Ok, now I do have to ask..., what is the difference between a "pot" and a "pod" when referencing crab fishing? I have heard some say the bait inside the "pod".
Bob

Bob, these are the crab pots we use here. I have not heard the term pods used, perhaps a typo or some other areas crab terms. Even the huge pots on
'Deadliest catch" are called pots. But these are much, much smaller
This thread may clear things up about how we do it here.

Bob, it is possible that the container that holds the bait on large pots such as the ones used in the Bering Sea could be called bait pods. Here they are called "bait boxes". I`m sure the terminology differs somewhat form place to place. Hey mtkeg we hijacked your thread! Oh well Its a friendly laid back forum!
