Jayco Swift SLX 154bh

Hello,

I am planning to purchase the Swift SLX 154bh soon and pretty excited about it. I plan to tow it with Toyota Sienna, complete with the towing package and wdh installed. Also I will be installing airlift for the rear suspension as my van sits a bit low.

Is there any one who has used a minivan to tow the 154bh? Any words of experience will be appreciated.

We tow ours with a smallish SUV and don't have any trouble. The towing limit for our car is 3500 lb, and it tows great. But doing something to lift the rear suspension may be a good idea. My rear wheels sit a bit low when towing, and I've considered trying to do something about the suspension to level the car out a bit. But it's not too serious, so I haven't yet. Overall, the 154bh tows very well.

Also, check your owners manual for any reference (or restrictions) when using a WDH. As you gather information, please keep in mind that RV dealers tend to speak in terms of dry and/or unload weights, you will want to think in terms of "loaded" weights based on your personal loading habits.

Oh, have your RV dealer provided you with any documentation that came with the WDH, it will be useful to you at a later date when you re-adjust the WDH to your loaded TV/TT conditions.
