Either that's the wrong bar for the truck or it wasn't installed correctly. It should be connected directly to the frame of the truck!

I took it back to the body shop. They told me that it is to do that. When a person steps on it. (NOT) They said it is the way it was designed. They said there is a grove that the bolt sits in and will move.
They put a washer in it and welded in place so it does not move.(Fact or BS)

It is an unfortunate fact that many automotive shops treat women with disrespect. Lie to them, do work that is not needed, do poor quality work.. That bar should be as solid as Fort Knox... I would suggest not taking any new work there...

Hi
Yes I know. The guy wanted me to get it fixed in the Spring, when I put the truck back on the road.
I informed him that I would be bring the truck down the next day.
And get it fixed Now.

Why would you take it back when you need to use it? He was hoping you would fall for that and then he would say " sorry 90 day warranty is up".. Hope he fixes it right for you...
