Our dealer installed a Equal-i-zer WHD when we bought Jay Flight 267BHS. It is the only WDH that i have ever used but a can say that i really like it. Also, it has sway control built in which i find a plus when pulling down major highways. I don't know how to get one in Canada but if you do find one I don't think you will be disapointed.
Equal-i-zer Hitch

http://www.hitchweb.com/product/88/9...P-1000-lbs.-TW

They come in two and four point sway control can't find any information that can explain the difference? Except price

What model year Jay Flight is the 29BHS, and are the 5,500lbs & 800lbs dry weights?

The Anderson WDH referenced in your link is relatively new (1-2 years)...., and do to it's unique WDH design has been getting a fair amount of attention recently. IMO most folks that have used the Anderson seem to like it, but some have questioned it's application on the heavy tongue weights (1,200lbs plus).

The Equal-i-zer WDH products and the Reese Strait-Line WDH products both have integrated sway control, and are very popular WDH products.

With any WDH product correct sizing and adjustment under "loaded" TV/TT conditions is important to insure favorable towing results.

Hi,

the hitch you are looking at is the Andersen WD and anti-sway hitch. I have purchased one for myself, but can not comment on it because I do not receive my trailer until May. I know that the "Hitch Factory" in Hamilton Ontario, does sell the Andersen and most other types of WDH's. There is an Airstream forum (www.airforums.com) where several operators are very happy with the operation hitch and the ease of it's use and that it is fully adjustable up to 14,000 lbs. I would caution you to the fact that Andersen has issued a statement (see below) about the hitch being incompatible with a specific coupler. It seems to be only the 88000 series. I have already contacted Jayco and they told me that the White Hawk is equipped with an Atwood 82680...I would check your coupler to ensure that it is compatible, other than this it has received very good reviews.

"At this point our official position is that the Atwood 88000 series coupler is incompatible with our Weight Distribution Hitch, so the ONLY current solution we endorse is to replace the coupler."

Cheers,

Ron

Its a 2007 and yes these are dry weights I think I will go with the equal-i-zer 1000 tongue weight bar type I like the idea of some sway without having to hookup an extra bar not to mention the screeching noise when trying to back into a site.
The Anderson unit looks interesting maybe next trailer

I would agree that a 1,000lb rated WDH (minimum) would be recommended.

If you tend to load on the heavy side, watch your loaded TT tongue weight because the 29BHS can creep over 1,000lbs rather easily.

Thanks for the insight into Wdh, for a few extra bucks a 1200# would be a good idea

We bought our equal-i-zer hitch in Canada. I got the best price from a Go Glass outlet - they sell truck accessories. We use the 1200# unit. Our tounge weight is around 1050 lb.
