I can buy a lot of fuel for $8000 and I only put about 10,000 miles on my truck per year, so for me it was a good choice. Had a Duramax pre all the emission stuff and it was nice, but now with all the emission stuff the problems seem to follow.

I'm starting to wonder if my Dodge will be my last diesel truck... it seems like the newer emissions systems have given a lot of hassle and the newer diesels have lost a lot of gas mileage which reduces their overall value. The gas rigs have really improved with 6-speed transmissions and more power. It starts to make the premium you pay not so worth it.

Nice truck, and even nicer camper!! I have a 2011 Jayflight G2 32BHDS and I really REALLY like the new Eagle 314BDS. I want to trade just for the looks of the new one and the nicer inside features.

I debated and researched the issue of gasser vs diesel extensively before coming to the clear conclusion that the Ford V-10 gasser was the far better choice. Have had it now for almost 10 years, and have never regretted my choice. Have a friend and fellow camper that went the other way about the same time, and he is on his second truck in the same period of time. He went from diesel back to gasser, after having a lot of maintenance expense that I didn't have. I, too, can buy a lot of gas for that whopping premium paid for the diesel engine. JMHO
:hihi:
