Agreed. And TIRE MANUFACTURER'S ratings will show that for Load Range E tires, their maximum load carrying ability is when inflated to their maximum psi. BTW, with my rear tires at 80psi I also get the best tire wear on my SRW truck.

The Rams (at least 2015) recommend 80 in the rear, 60 (maybe 65) in the front. Also the TPMS gets real irritated if you try to put less than 70 in the rear.

It does ride very stiff empty with 80 in it, but I also hate the light.

On my 2017 F250 6.7 diesel (4x2) my rear tire pressure on the sticker is 75psi. I am guessing it is because my payload per sticker is 2800lb. If my payload was in the low 2000lb range I suspect it would have shown 65psi on the sticker.
