I'm not advocating or condoning it but my 2013 GMC CC 4x4 with a 6.5ft bed tows a 16,000#, 42.5' 5th wheel. Pin weight of 4000#'s.
I'm going to upgrade to a 2015/2016 3500 SRW before spring towing season. My current truck doesn't ride or squat any different than when I towed my 37' 11,000 5th wheel.
That's a heavy pin weight for just 16,000#..Last 5er I towed had a CAT scales weight of 16,499#, at 39' 9" and pin weight was 3460#. Are you sure of your weights? I would be a bit leery of towing that heavy and long of a 5er with a 250/2500, but that's just me. I do all my towing in the mountains.

Here are the pics from Ram 3500 Diesel; 4wd; Mega cab; SRW; factory gooseneck 5th wheel prep;
i stand corrected, though 2013' 3500 CC SRW trucks RAWR was 7,000#
Odd that there is such a big difference in GVWR...10,000# for 2500 and 3500SRW of 12,200#. spring packs are also different.

Yep. That's correct. It's a mid bunk room so the axles are fairly far back. We also have the factory generator, fuel tank for generator was full and that was with the fresh tank full, with all our gear in it
