Just curious. I rented a trailer to test pull. Your right pulls like a horse. I have 3000 miles and am averaging about 26-27 mpg about 80% highway. Not bad for a 5800 lb vehicle that is a joy to drive.

I wanted to stay with the 18" wheels for off road use so I had to stay with the limited. Wireman

I have the 18s on my Overland since I have the ORA-2 package. While it helps with skids etc, in general the tires suck in any light snow. I can't wait to wear them out and get something better like an AT. I have 20K miles on my Overland already so tires aren't too far away.

I never did weigh my trailer when fully loaded. Was always too busy trying to meet travel times that I didn't want to sit on the scales. Dry it weights about 5400 lbs.

I actually bought my travel trailer in Sandy Utah as well, Camping World. I had a closer dealership in Kaysville Utah but they didn't have the model I wanted.

Ran across a set of scales last week. Trailer weighed 6970 lbs and tongue was 770 lbs. We pulled that over the Cabbage Hill/Deadman Pass twice @ 55mph and still got 13.5 mpg. Love that Jeep.

brained, how does the trailer tow? Is it pretty solid with no sway other than passing trucks & side wind?

I'm buying a Centerline TS WDH with sway control. I also added the option from Jayco (trailer sway control) that modulates the trailer brakes from side to side when sway gets above normal. It's mounted on the front of the trailer. It was a $375 option.

So hopefully between the 3(Jeep, WDH, and Trailer) it will be a pleasant experience.

volvite, I thought all overland's came with the 20" wheels. If I would have known the ORA II came with the 18's I might have looked for that option.

To late now. I did a lot of research and some how I missed that. Does it ride any different with the airbags? Looks like a nice option for more ground clearance. I don't do a lot of off road stuff and snow is not relavent where I'm at so The tires will do me fine.

20K on miles, do you ever shut that Jeep off? Wireman

Beautiful truck. Wish I could have gone to the Laramie trim. Alas, my pockets are not that deep.

Only sway I've felt was when new and empty and that was just for a moment. No issues since. It just has a friction pad type sway bar and I crank it down tight when we leave town.

Passing trucks result in a gentle pull toward them, a bit of steering correction keeps it straight.

I don't like ruts, it seems they bounce the Jeep around as much empty as towing though so maybe that's a reflection of it having highway tires instead of the AT or MT that I'm used to.

The make and model are in my signature; I have considered buying a new truck many times, even gone as far as sitting down at the dealership and throwing numbers back and forth on a power wagon. Ended up walking out and sticking with this trusty girl. She is paid for, gets better mileage than most expect, has managed to get me into and out of many sticky situations, and mechanically is very sound.

Power Wagon is a NEAT truck. But it isn't for towing/hauling. The payload and towing capacities are abysmal at best. Would be a fun "toy" though!

Exactly! which is why we ended up not buying it. The more I looked at the numbers, my 2004 had power to weight ratio and towing than the 2015 power wagon. That and with the factory lift, the truck would not fit in my garage. As it is right now I only have 2 3/4 inches of clearance underneath a center beam in my garage.
You are right when it comes to off road capability the Power Wagon is a purpose built awesome rig.

My 07 F350 srw just wasn't up to the task of our 38FLSA....so the boss told me to get a new t/v...really had to twist my arm. Upgraded to 2013 F450.....no problems now!

I replaced all the lights on top, they Leak. When I took the truck to the shop, the mechanic screwed the screws in sideways. went to put the headliner back in it was leaking had to take it over to my late husband glass shop, and they redid them and sealed them.
Took my brother over to Gibson's a couple of years ago, from Ontario

Debating on selling my 2015.5 2500 Duramax and going with an older (relatively) 2006-2007 3500 Duramax. Thinking about simplifying the life a little bit.

That's PLENTY of room. I think I've got about 1/2" ... maybe. It's a close shave, but it fits!!

Hitting the radio antenna on the garage door is getting old, I'm looking for a shorter replacement....

We hit our antenna for the Excursion on the garage door too. I didn't know you could replace them. Hmmmmm.

Yup! You can find them all over Amazon. They used to come with adapters so it didn't matter how the original mast was mounted, I think most still do.

Only downside is loss of reception, but I'm about to re-up my Sirius XM (they really roped me in with the 1-yr free thing, I can't stand listening to regular radio now) so I don't worry about reception too much. It's only occasionally I use the FM receiver anyway, only when I "lose my satellites" as DW says.

Tow Vehicle

This (assuming the pic loads) is a 2008 Ford F150. It tows pretty well, but if/when we replace it we'll go for a 250.
