Either way, they look a lot like Ford's general styling on the past two body styles

My dmax wasn't any bigger. The XD is just as long, and almost as heavy. Much better towing experience than any half ton I've owned. Only time I notice less power is when I hit a steep hill, but it's not a big difference and not to the point where I'd miss the $10K more a new dmax, PS, or Ram would've run me.

Sounds like Nissan got this model titan right this time, glad you like it, I gotta be honest, I'm surprised you can't tell a big difference towing

I don't know, how many times are you flooring your tow vehicle with a trailer behind you? For me, not much and that's really the only time you'd feel a noticeable difference.

It also stops as well or better than the true 3/4 tons as it has bigger rotors than the dmax and as big as the F250. If you need the payload of a 3/4 or greater than 11K lbs towing the XD doesn't make sense, but otherwise it's a good option.

Well that's really good to hear, glad you really seem to like it, i really hope it turns out to be as reliable if not better than your previous truck, sounds like there's some serious new competition in the market

Officially, it'll range from 1400 - 2500 lbs depending on configuration and option package. It's basically 1/2 ton numbers, which was Nissan's intent.

I know the design range, but was looking for what your little sticker says on the actual truck.

The payload, and semi-floating axle is what makes me discount it. It's funny you can have it setup for gooseneck from the factory. I don't think I've ever towed a gooseneck that would fit in the payload limits.

Yeah, if you need 3/4 ton or better payload, it's not intended for you.

Wow. You tow a 32 foot bunkhouse? The loaded tongue on ours was 1,450#. Surprised you aren't out of payload with that setup.
I looked at the Titan before I bought my F150, and couldn't make the weight numbers work. Course, even with my F150 and a family of four, I'm pressed with anything I'm looking at over 30 feet.

I mostly tow dry and distribute items evenly. I'm probably 1100 lbs tongue weight or so (dry is 930). I'm prob over payload when all is said and done by a few hundred lbs. Just not willing to spend the 10K more for a new equivalent 3/4 ton and feel more comfortable being a few hundred lbs over payload with Nissan's heavy duty half with fully boxed frame, 1 ton tranny/axle combo, and large brakes than other half ton options.

And how big are the rotors?

The tranny is a combo of Aisin's AS68 and AS69 used in Dodge's 1 tons over the last 7-8 years. The axle is from Nissan's 1 ton van. The rotors are a little over 14" in diameter.

To put payload in perspective, if I'd have purchased an F250 Platinum, I'd have gained approximately two grown men in payload capacity. Not much more for ~$10K in cost.

For $10,600, you could obliterate the F250 payload with an F350.

I don't know if I've ever posted a pic of this TV on here so "just in case". After about a 5 month slumber it will be put back in to seasonal use next week.
