Nice setup. That's a lot of trailer for a SRW truck@

Would this be better?

Actually this is a 1/12 Scale R/C build I did to pull my matching 1/12 scale 43' toybox

All fun aside, my 1:1 Denali SRW is within spec and does a fantastic job.

I just got too nervous on trips worried we'd get stranded.

We traded for a CPO 2016 Silverado 1500 Z71 LTZ 2 last Friday night. 37k miles, must have been garage kept and never seen snow and salt. The only rust is on the muffler. It has the 8 speed, but the TSB was done at 28k miles and it's very smooth. Can't wait to take a trip and tow with it. Nerf bars arrived yesterday. Now I just have to find the time to mount them.

Nice truck Doc! Best front end Chevy ever made. I happen to be very partial to that color.

Thanks! I agree about the front end. I'm normally partial to the GMCs front ends. But that, the wheels, and the overall condition of it is what drew me to it. This is the 3rd black vehicle we've had, the 2nd black truck. The first black truck was a '95 'Burb. Keep it clean and waxed and black looks fantastic.

That's very cool!

I'm happy to see SRW trucks getting higher capacities, I noticed that GM made a big jump in 2020 I think it was, with even some 2500s having over 3000lbs of payload. I'm not a fan of the looks of the DRW trucks, even though they are more practical for the job.

Loving my 2020. Had a 2015 2500 LTZ and sold it with around 100k miles and not one problem in the 5 years I owned it. As much as I loved my 2015 this truck is much better in every way.

I didn’t add airbags but did add Timbren’s. I didn’t want all of the hassle of airbags and like the no maint approach of Timbren’s instead.

Congrats on the new truck. You’ll love it...couldn’t be happier with mine.

Here is my tow rig. 2001 3500 24V Cummins with a nv4500 5 speed manual truck tows great. No air bags or load levelers needed. Average around 12.5MPG towing the pinnacle.

Nice truck Nick. I had an '01 Ram with that 5.9L Cummins/NV-4500 combo. It was 2-tone white over driftwood. Probably my favorite of all the trucks I have owned.

Thank you for that suggestion! I had no clue that Timbren’s existed. I’ll do my research and probably move forward. It will give me a piece of mind while towing.

If you’re looking a timbrens’s, you should also look at Sumo Springs.
