1999 F250, 7.3 with 6 speed. Napa filter intake, MBRP 4" and TS6 chip. The few mods I did improved the MPG if I can keep my foot out of it, she is strong.

Those Ford 7.3L diesels may have been a little on the noisy side, but they were (and still are) a great engine!

2014 Tundra 4.6 V8 towing 184bh. Great combo tows great and gas mileage hardly drops when towing this light weight travel trailer.

x2. I lost count of the number of times I saw people scurrying out their front door with their garbage bag on pickup day or children on school days as I approached and passed by their house. Besides the noise, the 7.3 also had a distinctive exhaust odor than that of most other diesels.

Great engine, but its Achilles heel was the Camshaft Positioning Sensor (CPS). I replaced it twice in mine and carried a spare... just in case.

Bought this truck late July. Moved up from a 1/2 ton!
And contrary to some diesel owners this gas engine can tow more than a bag of chips.

What is that rear door for? I tried to see it on Jayco's site but couldn't find it. Is it for storage?

Part of the outdoor kitchen. Fridge and pantry behind the middle door. Microwave, Sink, and slide out table in the very rearward short, wide door. Door on very back of the trailer is storage.

Smile Our Big Hoss Tow Vehicle

Here is "Big Hoss" our new 2015 Ford F-450 diesel dually. We were originally planning to get a big 5ver, but decided to get our feet wet with a much smaller Jayco Jay Feather Ultra Lite X213 for weekend camping until I retire (many years away). I doubt the truck will even know the trailer is back there...
