Crabman, we've added the Saugerties KOA to our "must spend a weekend there next year" list. It's even the same exit off I-87 as Rip VW CG. Thanks for the heads up.

Our TV back up

Here are a couple of photos of our back up tow vehicle - the other Ford one-tonner. This is "Henry", a 1926 version of Ford's one ton line up. He's done a lot of towing and hauling in his lifespan, with his 7:1 worm gear rear axle ratio, :hihi:but we had to retire him when we got the fifth wheel camper - just couldn't figure out how to mount the hitch.

Smile running deep

Chevy may run deep, but Ford's got a better idea, IMHO. Each to his/her own.

Put a banana in the tailpipe and start it in front of her. When it doesn't start tell her it is serious and walk with her to the local dealer.
If you think your wife is too smart for that, enjoy your current TV.

I told my DW that I needed a bigger truck to safely haul our kids and trailer. She asked when do we go get one. Within a few weeks I had the 2500 in my garage. Try that one, worked for me.

This is about all I can tow with my 4cyl minivan. If I go out with my parents or brother then this is what I use to dump. The actual TV for the TT has a hitch mounted flagpole so it's easy to just take my van. lol
