pin box weight 2007 2500 D/A

I am thinking on buying an Jayco Eagle 31.5 RLTS and could use some info from others that have the same set-up I was just wondering if my 2007 Chevy 2500 TWD Crew Cab LWB D/A could handle the pin weight of 2,093lbs trailer 9,105 dry.It will just be the DW and me traveling The dealer seems to think no problem but I just wanted some real advice from the folks that own one.

Along with the feedback from other JOF members, I would take your TV under loaded conditions (full fuel, passengers, etc.) to a CAT scale and weigh it. Subtract the CAT scale weight from your TV's GVWR noted on the driver's door. The remaining weight (payload capacity) is what you have available for the FW's loaded pin weight and the weight of the fifth wheel hitch.

This will give you an accurate "available" payload capacity for your particular TV and loading style.

It's also good to have a cushion or safety margin. Some suggest 15% although that may be difficult.
