Pulled Trigger on new TV
I was previously towing my camper with a Chevy Silverado 1500, and it did ok, but after reading the different threads here, and doing some research, it was obvious that my 1500 was "challenged"....especially on the tongue weight for sure. After doing the math, I was over for sure....
So, I pulled the trigger and bought a 2016 Ford F250 4x4 with a 6.2l engine....It should pull my camper with now issues!!!

Congo Ratz. I believe you will be happy with that rig.

Congrats on the new purchase. Did the same change in April for the exact same rationale and have not looked back. Yes, gas mileage will not be the same , but the 'Comfort' level will be greatly enjoyed.

Currently looking at a 2017 F350 6.7 at work. Most likely will be in it in a couple months but it will be done. Looking at 5'ers this winter so....

My neighbor brought home a '17 F250 Platinum Power Stroke last night. It is really, really nice!! But seeing how I only owe another $10k on my '14 Ram with 13,500k miles....I'll be sticking with the Ram for a long time to come!!

I just bought a 2016 F150 Ecoboost with it fully loaded to the max tow package, tow mirrors, HD pacakge, and every option. I love it!! This is my first trailer and will be for awhile. The TV pulls it like a dream. We are out on a trip right now and just went thru the cascade mountain loop highway and it was a steep winding road with no problems. Gusty winds with NO sway or problems. Truck tows it perfectly. However other than maintenance costs and gas I sometime wish I had the 350 but the 150 had way more room in the back seat and looks so much better too. Both my teenage boys one being 6' and a 83lb black lab fit in the back with room to spare. A couple of trips I have had three boys and the dog in the back with no complaints from the kids. Anyways bigger is always better (that's what she said) but for what I'm pulling fully loaded with peeps and cargo I'm perfectly happy. I hit the CAT scales last week and I'm well under the 20% safety margin for towing.
FYI - I'm young so I already told the wife there will be a day when I will be driving home with F-450 and a massive Artic Fox slide in camper pulling a boat but that day will be closer to retirement.
Happy camping and may the sunsets sets blow your mind and the stars shoot across the sky.

Not a thing wrong with those Ram Cummins!! Very nice trucks. My manager would probably throw a fit if I pulled on the lot in a Ram! OMG..

Just bought a 2016 F350 King Ranch PS diesel to replace my 2013 F150 eco-boost. The F150 would pull my current TT with no problems but payload was the problem, only had 1477 lbs. Had to take two vehicles to carry everything. The new TV doesn't even know its there. Piece of mine and who knows , there might be a FW in the future.

That's sweet! I just bought my truck and I love it but the 350 Lariat would be very nice if I were in the market for another truck. Next one will be the 450 for me fingers crossed lol. Congrats on the new truck.
