Just bought this product and haven't completely installed. Reviews are great wondering if anyone has on there trailer? Feedback? Recommendations on installation and setup?

As always thank you for your time.

I have one and it works great. Dealer installed it and set it up on our Tahoe when we bought the TT in 2014. For the 2015 season, I bought my Silverado and had to set the hitch up myself for the new truck. It took a little time to get it all right, but I followed the Reese instructions, everything came out great.

Awesome. Thanks for feed back. How big is your TT? They say this really helps for the longer and heavier campers. Mine is just about 39'long and gross weight is 10,750.

Lou,

Best thing to do is take your time! Measure once, and drill twice!!! Lol In all seriousness, measure twice now even three times before drilling the cam brackets!!! Take your time, read the instructions, and set aside enough time so your not rushed. I will try to find it, but over on RV.Net there is an extensive thread (may be a couple) concerning the installation and set up of the Reese DC system.

Hopefully you ordered the 1500lb bars. With a dry tw of 920lbs, depending on how and what you load, your tw is probably over 1200lbs, possibly 13-1400lbs loaded. We have the '16 Jay Flight 32 BHDS version, and our dry tw of 910lbs is ~1400lbs loaded, ready to go.

Is your tv the '09 Titan? IF so, how much cargo weight do you load in the bed, and how much do all the passengers weigh? You may be over the gvwr of the Titan by a fair amount pending what all you load and your actual loaded tw. What is the yellow payload sticker in the drivers door jamb state for your truck's payload as the truck left the factory?

Good luck!!!

My 26BH is nowhere near as big as yours! Maybe some others with larger TTs will chime in...

Installation not worried about there a ton of videos on YouTube and e-trailer etc etc. instructions are straight forward. I have towed this camper all year last year and a Jayco 314 BHDS which is slightly smaller (600 lbs lighter) for years prior with my 09 Nissan Titan. Payload on Titan is just under 2100lbs. Dry hitch weight is 860 and I have never had problems with the 1200 lb trunnion bars. Truck max tow weight which always surprises everyone is 10,500 lbs or 10,100lbs Ibforget which. So in theory if I ever max out cargo weight in camper I will be over my TV gross weight. I also installed air bags with a pump just so I can totally be level... Kinda overkill. Most I have ever put in bags is 15 psi. Drive around at 5 psi. This was the biggest tow capacity on the Titan and was made for only one year. Dealer didn't believe it either until Nissan gave me the specs.

I had the set up. I spoke with Reese and all I needed was the dual cam hp. The rest had been set up already.

Well we have the 338 rets and its 39 foot long and about 10500 loaded. I just have a standard roundbar wd hitch that's 1400/14000 and a single sway bar attached and it actually pulls better and with less sway than my 32 foot one had

Tow is not an issue. I just get an occasional what I call a tail wag on highways. Nice thing about this is I had a friction bar which had to be removed to back up. With this system you just back up!! There's no friction sway control anymore.

That's a lot of trailer for the Titan. My 2014 Max tow Titan was 9300 lbs. towing capacity. But you can use this to get your tongue weights. Travel Trailer Weight Calculator | Safety Report
You can also look at Sherline tongue weight scales or google or you tube the bath scale method but you maybe to heavy for that.

The better value is that the straitline/dual cam hp is proactive. It prevents sway where the friction bar is reactive. Should check out on Reese website. Not having to take the friction bar off is a bonus. And it's relatively inexpensive to purchase. I had everything else from original set up so I just ordered the dual cam hp from Amazon for $166.00..

TY! You noticed them before I had a chance to post, check my signature links!!! Lol

When I have weighed, I went inside the last couple times and mentioned I needed to weigh three times total, so could I pay for all after? Was told no problem both times.

Good luck!!!

If you are just upgrading the Reese you already have to the DC HP, that is pretty simple to set up - instructions are on the Reese site for that too. It will just take a few ups-and-downs to center the cams in the bars. There is a chance that the changeover may require a slight adjustment of the links (or hitch head) after you change over. I would follow the instructions to check the front fender return height after changing to the cams, just to be sure it didn't change.

The Reese Strait-Line is a great WDH and has performed well on my TT for over 10 years.

One thing to note with tube style TT frames with loaded TT tongue weights of 1,200lbs or heavier..., check the torque on the four Frame Plate 1/2-13 thread forming screws OR the 1/2-13 hex head bolts periodically. The type of fastener provided by Reese will differ depending on "model/date-revision" of Reese Dual Cam HP purchased, as will the mounting instructions.

Refer to original Reese installation instructions provided with specific model/revision Dual Cam HP being installed for correct torque requirements.
