Correct. Don't use the TV brakes when setting up. I have a P2 that's 10 years old now. I usually don't do 25 though when setting mine, maybe 15. Push the lever and if they don't lock, turn it up a bit and keep doing until they lock. Then back off some. Usually you don't need the booster, though as the brakes on a previous trailer wore over time I did find myself using it.
The Prodigy is "set it and forget it". No need to adjust for every trip unless you are talking major differences in weight. In your case, that might be a good use for the booster then. More weight, use B1 or B2.
