Sway help- Ram 1500 with 23mds

I love the trailer, love the truck, but cringe every time I put the two together. I have a weight distribution hitch with sway control, but it doesn't seem to work very well. It's not a expensive one, it came free with my previous trailer. I had a 15 mph cross wind, my max speed I could pull was 57 mph due to trailer feeling very unstable. I need advice, any help?

1) Make sure you do not have too much weight on the back end of the trailer. You want about 10-15% of the trailers weight on the tongue.
2) Make sure trailer is level or slightly nose down when towing, not nose up.
3) Make sure you have the weight distribution hitch set up correctly. There should be some info in your trucks owners manual regarding how much weight Ram recommends transferring to the front wheels.
4) How much towing experience do you have. I often see people new to towing being overly sensitive to the trailer. There is no such thing as "I don't even know it is there". You will always feel a little pushing/pulling going on.

Sway is often caused by not enough weight on the hitch.. try to get about 15% of the trailer weight on the tongue.
