Hey smurfs, the wife finally gave me to okay so I'm in to process now on getting a 2016 2500 6.4L, they didn't have what I wanted on the lot so they are looking for one outside but I will know more Monday.
As for as the PW here is the chart on one the 2016.

Good stuff!
1510lbs payload is pretty sad for an HD chassis. You can get those numbers in the half tons :/

X2 that's terrible for payload on a 2500. Spend a few more bucks and get a GMC.

Yep, I agree the PW is a different animal, specially made for off road and since I don't off road I might run into (bigfoot) only if I take my piece of course. Some people want that and it's good for them.

It's pretty specific to the Power Wagon options. Like the Raptor- they are built for offroading rather than as a pack mule. The regular Ram 2500s are in the 27-3200lbs range. My Limited 6.4L has 2846lbs- but it's well optioned. Lots of creature comforts.

Oh. That's much better lol. Raptor is a 1/2 ton though so why buy a 3/4 ton with 1/2 ton payload? I do believe there is a butt for every seat so I guess that's the answer to my own question... Nothing against any make...

Exactly. I never did see the reasoning behind it. I need a truck to do truck things. Butt for every seat- exactly right.
Side note- I do see an alarming number of raptors tied to 5ers here with their butts dragging on the ground.

Good looking truck! I saw where you mentioned Running boards. I installed the amp power steps on mine. They are great and fairly easy to install. I like them because they come down lower and out farther than normal steps, and then retract when not needed.

Hi Bob,
I had a 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7Hemi. It was a great truck and I pulled a White Hawk 30DSRE with a tongue weight of 700+lbs. It did the job but it was a little loose in the rear with the coils. I now have a 2013 Ram Laramie 3500 Diesel Dually long bed and it gets about the same mileage as the 1500 without a trailer. I was pleasantly surprised by this and it tows a 17,000 lbs trailer as if it wasn't there. I love this truck and would recommend it in a heartbeat. It is a little hard to park but I usually go to the unused areas of the lots and take up two spots. Anyway good luck with your search.

I'm right there with you. I buy a big truck to haul big things, if I want to go play off road, I can think of many better platforms, for a LOT less money. The PW is a neat truck in concept though...
My brother works with a guy who tows a huge 5er with his Raptor. It's ridiculous. The weight specs aside, the suspension is just not designed to carry weight, it's designed to flex on uneven terrain.
A butt for every seat indeed, and a price for every budget!

Well guys if everything goes alright I should be ordering me a 2016 2500 6.4l hemi tomorrow, I went on line to do my own build so when I talk to the dealer tomorrow I will be able to tell them what I want. Wish me luck.

Man it's not going good so far, I was going with Dave Smith and not to get into a long drawn out post I was calling them to put my built together and I couldn't get in contact with the lady that was working with me. So I call her manager to see what was going on and he didn't call me back, I call and left them both voice mail to get back with me and they never did.
So I finally said that this don't take all of this, either you want to work with me and not so I wrote them off. Now I trying to go with Dennisdillon dealership in Idaho but It's going slow. I built the truck I want and was getting ready to order but before I put down $1000 down with no refund I wanted to know a few things like taxes.
In Washington State ours sale tax is high so I wanted them to see if I can include all of that into the price in the truck, but I haven't being able to reach nobody yet. So it's still in process but with the holidays coming I don't think that I going to get my truck order by this year.

Wow, that's weird. It was a one day process here and no deposit or down payment. I feel like they figured they could sell it either way, so why take anything down. Man, I hope your luck turns for the better. Lemme know if you have any questions or anything.

Yeah I hope so to, I call the guy at the dealer today but didn't get in contact with him but left him a message and I hope that he can tell me something. One thing that I'm worrying about what they are giving me for my trade. I have a 2014 2500 5.7 hemi in trade but as you know that I will be a little upside down with it but I'm alright with that.
I'm hoping that it want be too much money that I care to spend but I'm trying to get it work out. I really want the new 6.4L 2500 so I can tow whatever trailer my wife and I get, I know a little more tomorrow.
