Titan aftermarket fuel tanks - any experience?

I have interest in installing the Titan replacement fuel tank in my f250 diesel. I was looking at the "drop in" replacement which would bring my fuel capacity to 50 gallons from 26. Does anyone have any experience to share regarding this product?

I have a 52 gallon Titan tank in my 2500HD. I had it installed about 8 years ago. It has been perfect in every way. Best money I have spent. The original 26 gallon tank just didn't get the job done when towing heavy.

The only difference I noted is that my low fuel light used to come on when I had approx 5 gallons left. After the Titan install it comes on at approx 10 gallons left. Also the computer still thinks I have a 26 gallon tank so it always shows half of the remaining distance to empty. I have been told I can have the ECM reprogrammed to change this, but I can multiply by 2 in my hear pretty well. All other computer data works fine.

I highly recommend the Titan tank.

Sorry, I cannot help you with your exact question. I have been looking at the same tanks as well as others. You have probably already thought about this, but I wanted to bring it up just in case.

Make the calculation on how long it with take for the cost of return. ROI. The +1k for the tank will take years - probably the life of the truck - to get a return on the investment of the tank.

If your like me, the return is not having to stop every 200 miles. That cost can't be accounted for with money. Good luck on your quest.
