Toad Question

Greetings all,

We have 2015 Greyhawk 29MV and for the first time we will be doing some longer road trips (retiring finally! Hooray!).
We tow a 2012 Chevy Sonic which has been great so far. Usually, we are at our destination on Day 1, so we unhitch.
But now, we're planning to be out for longer hauls ...

The Question of the Day: Does the power cable between the RV and the Toad also charge the Toad's battery while underway?

When we bought the Blue Ox Patriot system and tow bars, the shop recommended starting the car for a few minutes when we stop for fuel, etc. That suggests to me that the cable only powers the lights ...

Any other thoughts would be welcome, too!

Thanks!

Regards,

John

It all depends on how your shop wired it. If you only have a 4 wire cable, no. I wired mine so the battery would charge from the MH because of the Brake Buddy.

The reason they told you to run the engine is because GM says to every 250 miles to circulate the trany fluid more so than recharging the battery.

Thanks Grumpy, that is good to know. It is a 4 wire cable, but I definitely want to make sure that tranny stays okay!

Thanks!

Regards,

John
