Tow ball height for 264BHW
My Dealers service manager gave me a height off the ground of 23" for the top of the ball, and said that's what he had in his specs for a 2016 F150 like mine. So I dropped the hitch adjustment one hole to get to that measurement, I'm just about right on 23". Now, to get a non-"up n down bounce" and a flat trailer to truck setup (all more or less flat, no sag on rear of truck or nose-down on trailer), I ended up going to 3 links on my WDH, which seems kind of hard to get to, even with taking my electric jack (3500 lbs) up till it's getting tired. I was at 4 links before I moved the hitch down.
This is with the trailer and truck fully loaded, black and gray tanks empty to 1/3 full, no water in water tank.
I know I need to "scale" this, but I'm assuming I should still make some adjustments before I do, as there's none near me.
Should I move the hitch back up one hole and see how it sits at 4 links? I'm told this is somewhat a trial and error process... I try, then see my error.
Thanks,
Les
