Tow Capacity Clearance?

We are picking up our 2017 North Point 375BHFS next week and have also gotten our TV. Our 2016 Ram 3500 DRW to tow it.

According to Ram (by VIN lookup), our payload capacity is 5800lbs and max tow capacity of 18,600.

With only me driving and our gear in the other car AND the GVWR loaded of the trailer at 16,500, we should have room to spare.

I just wanted to confirm my assumptions and calculations before we hit the road!

Thanks!!

You're good. Enjoy! (Wish I had that much 'surplus' payload with my F150.)

With a 16,500lbs GVWR you will have a max pin weight of 4125lbs. 25% of your trailer weight.

Having 5800lbs of payload is more than enough. Enjoy!

According to Ram our GCWR is 27,300. Even with that we should have enough excess capacity I think.

Thanks for the responses!

First time I have ever seen anyone worried about the towing capacity of their 1T dually.

Have fun with your 'light' load
