Start by looking in the truck manual. All of the information you need will be in there. Chances are that you're going to be right at the edge, if not slightly over (before you start loading the trailer).

Welcome 08 sierra. Congratulations on your new Eagle 322FKS.

Regarding your tow question, others will pipe in but what you can do is start gathering some info. You will want to know your curb eight, gross vehicle weight GVW), axle weights, gross combination weight rating (GCWR), etc. Some of this you may be able to find on the sticker near your driver's side door and/or in your owner's manual.

You'll want to know all the links in the chain because it's the weakest link that will determine how suitable your TV is for handling your new TT.

I used trailerlife.com to get some info. They have tow guides for most vehicles. I also pulled out the owners guide for my truck, that had really all I needed to know.

Welcome to the forum, 08 Sierra!
As an owner of a truck with 5.3l, 3.73 rear and HD trailer package I have to be honest and say those numbers in the 322 Eagle specs are quite a bit for the truck, even if it is newer and with a larger tow rating. The dry hitch weight is a concern for the limited payload of the truck, and the loaded hitch weight will be considerably more. The empty and loaded weights could easily be pushing over your tow rating as well which should be in the owners manual or available online. In summary I think some research into what you can safely tow would be prudent.

Here are a few links that may help with understanding weights and ratings

What is my actual tow rating?

I would agree that trailer is too much for your truck...you also need to consider the payload that you put in cargo bed as well as passengers...this has to be factored in your rated tow capacity...ie: my truck is rated for 8200 gvw towing - 1000 lbs for passenger and cargo and my rating reduces to 7200...I believe that trailer you are refering to is going to be over 10000 lbs loaded

Thanks to everybody I checked my owners manual and I think I'll be a little over my limits what I'll do is take it to a scale and find the exact weight(loaded) to see where we are at
