Towing 28DSBH

I have a 2012 Tundra CrewMax, 5.7, with tow that includes 4.3 gears, tranny cooler, tranny temp gauge, upgraded alternator, upgraded battery, upgraded radiator.. Thinking about a White Hawk 28DSBH. Does anyone on here tow that model with that TV? Should I be concerned about the set-up? Payload is biggest concern at 1350.

My brother has a 2010 Tundra Double Cab with the tow package rated at 10K. He said it pulls his 28DSBH without any problems. He doesn't even know it's back there.

Welcome to JOF

Your correct that a limited payload capacity can be a limiting factor with heavier TT's, thus producing heavier tongue weights. In some cases one's personal loading habits (conservative, heavy, etc.) can be the deal breaker when a weight limit(s) is being challenged. Also, keep in mind that your TV's published Tow Rating and Payload Capacity is based on your TV's Curb Weight.

Here is an active JOF thread on the 28DSBH that may provide some helpful food-for-thought as you receive replies to your thread: http://www.jaycoowners.com/showthrea...k-28DSBH/page4
