Tpms ?
We are picking up our new Eagle HT next Tuesday and I am considering installing a TPMS system on this trailer for peace of mind while towing. I have never used a TPMS system on any trailers in the past. I have narrowed my choices down to TST or Tire Minder. I'm sure this has been beat to death in the past, and I have done a search here thus narrowing down my choices to these two.
Between these two systems, which is the best bang for the bucks? I am leaning toward TST since it seems to get great reviews just about everywhere I have searched. Which is the better TST option? With replaceable batteries or the batteries with the 5 to 7 year life?

I have the TST with replaceable batteries and couldn't be happier. No issues whatsoever in three seasons of use.

I've used TireMinder for 5+ years on 2 different rigs. I just upgraded to the new TireMinder system that uses your smartphone. This made a lot of sense to me since I already use my iPhone with Waze as my GPS. This limits my add on screens on the dash to one.

I've also used my Minder Research unit for 5-ish years. Has replaceable batts. Had to replace one of the sensors. Mine needs the signal booster which I hear the TST does not usually need.
Wouldn't travel without a TPMS.
I expect you'd be happy with either unit.

Thanks for the replies. Due to the number of positive reviews on the TST units I ordered one this morning. I also ordered a VIAIR 400P RV portable air compressor. So we should be about as prepared as we can get with this new FW.

Red horse, the new TireMinder comes with a signal booster. And although it will work with the old sensors, the new ones have much longer battery life as they shut themselves off when they don't sense motion for a few minutes. I used to take the batteries out of my sensors if I wasn't going to be using the RV for a few months. But now TireMinder advises to just leave them in.

1st season using TireMinder. LOVE IT. I have the booster mounted on my A Frame under the battery. have not ever lost a signal.
PEACE of MIND when towing.... especially since I had a major tire leak and didn't know it a couple years ago with another trailer. Tire damage TOTALED the trailer.

I have the RV510 system from TST. Very happy with it. The company is fantastic to deal with.
My original sensors lasted about for 4 1/2 years and a battery on one went out. I called them and they sent me 8 re-furbished sending units with new batteries. They are military grade and should be good for many more years.
Total cost less than $160.
I would not leave home without it.

The booster was an option when I bought and I had trouble with loss of signal so I added one. Didn't know about the change in transmitters, I'm guessing my new one is the new style (bought it earlier this year). I've always removed them for storage and will probably continue.
I bought it originally after reading the tire horror stories on JOF and had no tire issues with the 23B but..... 2 blowouts in a 75 mile stretch with the 5er and I'm a solid fan.
I credit the monitor with the quick alert that prevented the flailing tire from causing any body damage.
