TT pointing slightly down

So, I have a small issue. I've recently purchased a Travel Trailer, and am leaving to go out of town tomorrow. When hitched to my truck via a Weight Distribution hitch, the trailer is pointing down slightly. I am unable to raise the ball on the hitch any higher. I drove it the other day for a good thirty minutes on the interstate and other roads. It pulled just fine, no problems at all. But I want to know if this is dangerous or not?
Like I said, we are leaving to go out of town tomorrow!

Better to be pointed slightly nose down than to be high In the front. If pulled good no worries.

It should be slightly down in the front. You have to have some amount of tongue weight to control your TT. Do you have an anti sway system on you hitch?

Yes, I'm using the Husky Centerline TS WD hitch. This thing is a beast!

You should be fine just pay attention to how you load your trailer. It will pull different when loaded.

Thanks, I figured I'd be ok, but there is so much talk out there about the TV and TT being level. I can get an extra "piece" for the hitch to raise my ball on my truck, but not in time for my trip.

When you are on the road, pay attention to bounce. If it is too much, you might tighten up your distribution bars. Just suggesting.

Down or at worst...level. But never up!

Level is desirable, but almost impossible to achieve. If you have to choose between "tongue low" or "tongue high," go with "tongue low." The tongue weight is calculated with the trailer sitting level. The more the tongue is lowered, the more your tongue weight increases. If the tongue is high, you will get "wiggle." If it's too low, the front axle tires carry too much weight and could become overloaded from carrying a disproportionate amount of the trailer weight.

We knew up was bad, but did not know that low might be better than level. We'll still aim for level - DW thinks it looks better - but won't worry if it's a little low. Glad to see this thread.
