good to hear. You'll want to get that cupping issue resolved before damaging a new set of tires. The only drawback is that if they do fix anything, the cupping will not go away on the existing tires. You won't hear the difference until you get the new tires.

I only got 33k miles out of my OEM Bridgestone Deulars - crap tires.
Went with Michelin LTX MS'2s from Discount Tire. Very happy with them.
Run the back ones at 40psi when towing.

Just before we left on our 5400 mile round trip to Ohio, put new Yokohama tires on the Sport Trac.
No problems.

On our '10-Silverado 1500 I put a set of Cooper A/T3's LRC on and was very happy with them. No more stock p rated "wiggle" when towing, and great traction in the winter!!! Never had an issue with them at all in any conditions (never tried mudding with them though). With a 50 or 55k mi (can't remember at the moment) tread warranty!!!
They beat out the BFG due to price, and never regretted the decision. They were about $300 cheaper if I remember right.
Can't give a full life report as we only had them 11k mi before stepping up to the 2500HD.
Buddy has a set of the Toyo Open Country AT II's and is very happy with them also. He has the Xtreme model.

I have have sAme size tire on my f150 I have the general tire grabber at2 e rated. Very happy so far with on / off road and heavy towing. Very good reviews on this tire and reasonably priced. I would definitely go LT and e rated if your towing at max or close to 7500 lbs plus.

I just ordered a set of these Thursday will have installed Saturday morning. I also read a lot of good reviews on them.

Actually, as long as you use the same sensors that are on it, you won't have to retrain them. As long as pressure is same front to rear and you put the sensors back in their original orientation (LF,RF,LR,RR), there shouldn't be a problem. The BCM (Body Control Module) should recognize original equipment. What I DID NOT know was, they have to be trained at the dealer. Some Ford vehicles come with a training remote, but not yours.

I had upgraded to LTs on my last truck (09 Sierra) and when i got my new (15 sierra) they have the P tires...can't wait to replace them with LT's again.
I would agree that the P and LT tires of days gone by are different, but i could tell a noticable difference when I had the LT's on the truck. just my 2 cents

I've been very happy with the Firestone Transforce HT tires on my half ton truck.
I wouldn't put anything other than LT tires on a pickup.

I have all Firestone Transforce HT on my truck. They are tops so far.
I did buy road service on all 4 because most anywhere you go, you can find a Firestone dealer.

My 2006 Ridgeline came with Michelin LTX M/S...
I'm on my third set @ 175K miles. Been getting around 70K per set. Just starting towing a 23B and they seem to do fine. Honda recommends 32psi, but for the 1000mi round trip I just did I ran 40psi in them (max is 44psi). They are P-rated tires, not LT. Max load at 44psi is 1854 lbs.

Put a set of Cooper A/T3's LRE on my GMC 1500 last December. Finally wore out the 'P' tires from the Factory. Ride was firmer but not too harsh. We went to Florida on them in January (over 2200 miles) and was very glad I moved to a LT. Winter traction was greatly improved also.
Can't give you more details as I traded to GMC in for Ford F250 with 20" Toyo Open Country. Mad that I did not take the tires off and try to sell them privately
