TV Tires...Recommendations?
I am about to invest in a new set of tires for the TV. I have a 2011 1500 Silverado with stock Dueler AT 265/65/18s. I have gotten 50k out of the stock tires which I believe is pretty good. I am looking at staying with the Duelers, the Continental Crosscontact LX20s, or Michelin LTX M/S2. Has anyone had experience with the conti's or michelins on their TV? Recommend a tire I did not list?
Thanks in advance for the help.

The last time I had the Michelin truck tires I got 80k out of them, and the next time I buy tires I will pay a little more for them.

I just put Firestone Transforce on mine. Moved away from Michelin due to cost and severe sidewall cracks.

Love my Michelins they are great. Keep them rotated and they will exceed the life mileage. Good luck

Here in BC they just changed the tire rules. Before to be a 'winter' tire it needed a snowflake logo.
Now tires marked "M&S" - mud and snow are legal winter tires.
Other states and provinces rules are? regards, Dave.

I put those Michelins on DW's XTerra years ago, and they still look brand new. I LOVE Michelins despite their cost, they've always been worth it for me.
When it comes time to get new shoes for my 2012 Sierra, I'm going to try for LT tires, or at least XL tires... I'm really looking for more sidewall stability for better loaded handling.

I noticed Michelin makes the ltx in an LT model. I did not see it in a 265/65/18 but a 270/65/18 maybe?

I like the BFGoodrich All terrain KO's on my TV. They are pricey, but in a load range D (also availible in E) they have gotten me out of some places I dont think a regular all season tire would have. They are a little noisy going down the highway though...

I'm only just beginning to look at different sizes. There's not a lot available for me since I have 20" wheels (and don't have the scratch to get new wheels), so I think I'm going to be left with few choices if I want the overall diameter to remain unchanged...
I might be able to make my current tires last until I have the money to buy my long-term set of tires; they will probably come with a Ram 2500 attached!

I just put a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3's on my Silverado 1500. Went up one size from the oem size and it filled out the wheel wells nicely. I have not had them long enough to form any final conclusions but they have a very smooth ride. I have had this brand before with very good results. I also have Michelins on my wife's SUV and they have been great.

Sorry, being from SC, that was my feeble attempt at redneck humor.

Thanks everyone. At this moment I am leaning towards spending the extra on the michelins.
