V10 returns to Ford F Series

I saw someone mention this in another thread. I had 4 trucks with this engine and now 4 with 6.7 since they discontinued using it in F350s. I thought it was a nice compromise between the 5.4 gasser and 6.0 and 6.4 diesels offered until 2009 and was sorry to see it go. Anyone happy to see this other than me? I think it is a smart business decision by Ford. I must add I love my 6.7s and never experienced any problems with any of those trucks.

Sorry, but it's not coming back to regular, super, or crew cabs. Only in the cab & chassis.

To good to be true? If they big 3 were to bring back those big blocks in a gasser, it might put a crimp in diesel sales?

Well! That's just rude (Ford, not the poster)!

Maybe. The government also has different rules (emissions, fuel economy, etc.) for gas vs diesel engines. Those rules, along with profits, have to be balanced against the manufacturer building what the public wants to buy.

I love my V10 Excursion!! Wish they'd bring that back. I probably couldn't afford it but still....

If Ford brought back the Excursion with the 6.7 diesel I would consider having more kids just because I could.

Never thought I'd say this but, I'm holding out for the new 6.7.
