Technically your tongue weight should be below 500lbs so you probably do not need a WDH. The main purpose of a WDH is to restore weight to the front axle that is removed by adding weight to the receiver. Add too much weight (tongue weight) to the receiver and it lightens your steer axle enough that steering feels light and floaty and in extreme cases dangerous to the point that you can't steer as your front wheels have no traction.
Sway control is something totally different but some WD hitches have sway control built in. You can also install sway control separately.
On a small trailer like that I would probably not bother with either.
Does your truck have electronic sway control built in? Are you loading the trailer to its GVWR?
Cheers
