WDH with a 3/4 ton question

New to the TT world here. Currently I'm pulling our WhiteHawk with 1/2 ton using an Equalizer WDH. I have the opportunity to trade up to a 3/4 ton truck. If I do this, will I need the WDH any more?

Yes absolutely, on all Trailers over 5000 lbs.

With my trailer and 3/4 ton, according to the Cat scales and my receiver ratings, I don't need to use w/d. That being said, the only time I don't use it is back and forth to the storage facility (very tight turns at strange elevation angles) when I am totally empty and it is just a few mile drive. I can tell the difference and the unit as a whole feels more stable using w/d.

Thanks for the input! I bought the WDH at the same time as the TT. If I pull the trigger on a new TV, I did't want to feel like I took a beating selling the WDH. Thanks again

Using a WDH will eliminate the bounce in the back end of the truck, your ride will be much smoother, your contents in your trailer will ride much better too. Where you already have the WDH, keep using it, it's worth it's value more to you than selling it.
