We have not had it hooked up to the trailer yet but did go for a 100+ mile drive the other day and no question the ride is smoother and it's much quieter. All of the modern bells and whistles are nice too! We travel over the Cascades often so I'm excited to see how the almost doubling of horsepower and torque will feel. Also digging the six speed transmission and exhaust brakes.

Were you able to get the manual transmission with that truck?

Were you actually getting that much squat that you needed the Timbrens or just more of a preemptive strike?

Edit: I should have watched your video 1st. Good job Tom! You need to get a knuckle socket attachment...would have made things a little easier!

Thanks Dan. It would have been a very easy install if I wasn’t trying to film and work at the same time [emoji23]
My cameraman was still in school, lol

Don't worry...I get it! I had my 10 year old DD help me this afternoon install my new mud flap...needed someone to hold the nut while I tightened the bolt!

I had airbags on my previous truck and considered adding them to the new truck but I couldn’t find a good location to mount the switches and gauge in the cab. That’s why I went with the Timbrens.

I wish my kids wanted to learn how to fix or repair things (or help like your DD). They’re usually too busy playing on their device or video game [emoji30]

How’s the ride with the new shocks? Did you go with the 5100?

Don't know yet Tom. Haven't driven it yet. 4600 Bilstein. I believe 5100 are for lifted trucks.

New TV

After all the angst of five oil pan leaks in 28k miles, it was time to do something drastic. Texas Dodge in Amarillo now has possession of my old F150 and I'm he proud new owner of new 2019 RAM 1500. Increased tow cap from 7200 to 8510 lbs and payload from 1575 to 1900 lbs. And the new body is fantastic. Got the Lone Star level with 3.21 axle, and it cruises at 1500 rpm when not loaded at 70 mph in 8th gear.
