What did you do to your Tow Vehicle today?

Took some trash and debris to the dump. Surprised at how heavy the truck weighs empty.

9320 lbs! That means I have 4680 cargo capacity. Sticker on door says 5460.

Somehow I managed to add about 800lbs. I guess my hitch, aux tank (empty), air compressor, roof rack, floor mats, front hitch and a couple tools weigh more than I thought! [emoji23]

Finished installing the front Steadyfast Stabilizers. Wow, it really took out the rocking and shaking. Still have the rear stabilizer to install if I feel it's needed after our next trip in a few weeks. Very impressed so far.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

Paid it off May 1st. Title in hand May 15th. Warrenty was up middle of April (100,000 miles). Hit 102,330 miles last Friday. Turbo actuator went bad, looking at $1,400 repair. First vehicle I have kept after warrenty ran out in 35 years. Life just keeps getting better with age. LOL

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the battery warranty is good from the original purchase date. It doesn't start over.

Washed it and cleaned it out inside in preparation for the upcoming trip to southern Utah. Also got the Garmin in place and ready to go as it's the first trip with the new truck.

The dealer installed N-fab side steps before I bought the truck, since the previous owner damaged them. Not my first choice, but it wasn't a deal breaker. But now after a few years, they were starting to rust pretty badly, so today I chipped away as much of the peeling powder coat, ran a wire wheel over them to scrub off as much of the surface rust as I could, a coat of rust neutralizing primer and three coats of spray-on bed liner. IMHO, looks better than new!

Ordered a set of Rancho 5000X shocks for the '17 F-250. OEM shocks are Rancho as well but I think Ford put the cheapest shock they could find and considering what we pay for these trucks you'd think they'd come with better shocks. Had Ranchos in the past and really liked them but the factory ones are junk.

Increased the tire pressure to max sidewall this morning before loading up the generator and other stuff in the bed. It's ready to roll south now....

Those look good. I'd like to swap out my dated, chrome ones for some of these. Thanks for sharing.

Timbrens, Magnaflow 11229, Valvoline Synpower 5W20 and a Wix. Ready for the road, July 30 Palo Duro Canyon planned and looking ahead to Salt Lake area or at least Western Slope late August. The RAM drives no different with the Timbrens, except in sweeping corners a little more stable when unloaded. Synpower made HUGE (as in less) difference in mechanical sounds from the Hemi vs. what was in it. Sounds like a truck now.
