Found the same thing with my 2019 1500...since FCA continued the DS (4th gen) along side the DT (5th gen). Key Identifier is the 4th has 5 lug wheels, the 5th has 6. Absolutely NOTHING from the DS fits the DT, (well, maybe the spark plugs-all 16 of them). Even the bed is a different length across the board. Big plus, the RAM bed is 1.5 inches taller than the F150, so my generator will ride anywhere in the bed, not just the middle with the center of the cover jacked up. Betcha the same applies to the 2500, when they brought out a new one, FCA changed everything.

According to this website my truck may have been the one Johnny Cash built One Piece At a Time.
The cab side of the bed of my truck is the Classic style and the wheel wells are the New style because they have the same indentions in them were the Classic doesn't

Did you say you had a 2500? I think the bed is the same in both, BUT I might be wrong. Most of the improvements are in the frame, and like Ford they share the same cab (1500/F150 & 2500/F250).

It's a 2500.
The guy from Lund told me today to check back with them around Oct. for the step bars. He said he hopes to hear of something by then. I guess their working on them who knows

Ran it by the dealer for its first oil change. Heading out before too long for a trip to New Mexico with the new camper so definitely wanted it changed first.

Got the 2 1/2" shank for the Blue Ox SwayPro today so I'm able to proceed with the installation. I installed the hitch at the recommended height based on level trailer and tightened to ~260ft-lb. Next up will be running it down to the local hitch shop to get the hitch ball installed. According to the directions that came with the hitch ball they want 450ft-lb to tighten that ( ) so I've got that scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Replaced rear shocks on the Expedition this last weekend, which I've needed to do for about 3 months... Driver side was completely blown, passenger side was on its way out. Went with KYB loaded struts. Ride is so much better even compared to when we bought it a year ago. Excited to see how much better she rides towing next week.Click image for larger version

What i did to the truck today

Added running boards so my 5'4" wife can get in easier - they help me t..!
Added Weathertech floor liners. Built a shelf to cover my center console to hold my Haloview rear view camera and the occasional snack while on the road.

Happy Camper

Hello, I have a 97 1207 kb, that I towed with my 2010 V6 Toyota Sienna. The van seemed to pull the trailer pretty easy.

Got the hitch ball torqued properly to the Blue Ox this morning and was able to finish the initial set up this afternoon. Due to the shank being several inches longer than the Andersen it's replacing i had to run out at the last minute and pick up a longer breakaway cable. The plus side of that is now the power tongue jack is back far enough I can lower the tailgate without hitting the jack. Tomorrow I'll actually get it out on the road and over the CAT scales to see how things look and make any last minute adjustments.

Looks great. How are you liking the new ORV so far?

So far we are very happy with the new unit. Haven't yet camped outside the driveway - that's coming up in the next week when we head out for New Mexico. This thing is definitely overbuilt with the custom 8" frame, dual Dexter D52 (5200lb each) axles for a 9995 GVWR, off-road suspension and 16" GY Endurance (standard). The F-250 handles it nicely and so far it's been an easy tow.

However, it's not without those little annoying issues - like a couple leaky connections under the kitchen sink, drain tubes out the underbelly that are a few inches too short and allow water to get into the underbelly when draining the water system. Also had to do some touch-up along the roof seams as there were several air bubbles in the Dicor that were close to popping. I had that happen on the 195RB when we first got it as well.

When I had it out on the road last week I noticed one of the hubs running a bit hotter than the other 3 - like 20 degrees or so. I've backed off the self-adjuster on the brakes a bit. The nut on the hub was also too tight - no play in it at all with the retaining clip in place so I re-did that to spec. Between the two that should fix the elevated temp I think. And it sure looks like it came from the factory with the E-Z Lube already utilized.

A belated congrats on the ORV! My Jayco dealer has started carrying ORVs and I couldn’t resist peeking inside when I was at the service department recently. Wow — very nice rigs! Almost like a well-built cabin or park model inside! But I can see where the extra weight comes from.

Thanks LuckyDuck! In spite of that extra weight our model still has ~2700 remaining cargo capacity - and that's after full fresh water (80gal) and full propane (60lb) are accounted for. Easy to see why they end up behind 3/4 ton TV and above.

Sorry to hear about the little issues. Sounds irritating. I bet it all settles in just fine. Well these do seem like very well built campers. I'll certainly take a hard look at them when I go to switch campers.

New Mexico sounds like a great trip. Enjoy and please send pics and details along the way!

Cheers.
