I got a call (voicemail) from Jesse with Stericycle today, he started i with "If you are ready to get this over, I can meet you at Texas Dodge, say around noon and we can finalize the re-acquisition. Make sure the vehicle is clean and you have everything out of it." OK, waitjustacottonpickin' minute...
I called him back. I explained the vehicle had not been in my possession since November 8, I would not be able to 'clean it up' because it was not 'driveable'. His response was 'Who have you been talking to, do they know this?' Jan and Albino at FCA, Darcee at Stericycle...Darcee knows? Yes, sent her picture last Friday. Let me call you back.
Jesse called back around 4:30pm said he would meet me at 4:00pm tomorrow and make sure my co-owner (wife) was there too...
Saga of the Ram is about to end.

Everything I left in the truck in October was still there except aforementioned and dash emergency beacon that was in back seat.

It is done. See previous post of pictures from last Friday. Met with Jesse from Stericycle as previously arranged. Signed limited POA for title, authority to pay off US Bank, statement of condition of vehicle and mileage statement. Then got my check for equity and equipment, exactly as agreed. I asked where the truck was going to be repaired. Jesse told me nearly all vehicles get repaired before going to auto dealer auction, this one will not. It will go via transport from Texas CDJR directly to auction, as is. Transport is supposed to be there tomorrow.

Washed it so the rain would have an easier time rolling off the clean body panels.

This weekend I replaced the fuel filters. Just an FYI for any Ford owners....be careful with the yellow plastic drain plug on the water separator! It will break if you’re not paying attention. I had to buy a new one from the dealership [emoji31]

when you are replacing it check for gunk in there and clean it all out... you are supposed to drain that every month... I drained mine about once every 3 months...

good luck!

Jlo got rear mud flaps, running boards, and doors Sill protectors. I am still debating on getting a full rear rock guard before we head back home in April.

Has anyone ever used one? This is our first dually. I’m not sure how much debris the dual tires will be slinging off the road.

I have Weather Tech rear mud flaps on my dually. I check the FW for any rock chips or scratches and so far I have not seen any. I have to assume either the mud flaps are doing their job or I'm just lucky. I have considered the rock guards and if I did it, I would buy the one that attaches to the receiver on the truck so it can be removed when not towing.

Wait, whaaaa? J-Lo needs protection for her rear end? Bootylicious!

Will it be ready in time for Super Bowl? Will it interfere with the half-time show? Will Shakira get protection too? Inquiring minds want to know...

Not much better here. $1200 last I checked for the Super Duty. DWs Explorer finally dropped below $800 this year.

We will see how this turns out in a week or so.
Update: The dealer got the new radio installed yesterday afternoon. There was no cost to me. I just have to put my own info back in the radio that was in the old one.
(stations, bluetooth, siriusXM those kind of things)

I'll never cuss about mine again! Well more so the camper now than the truck but either way

I had been paying upwards of $800 a year for my '14 RAM 1500. One of the additional perks of moving to the 3/4 ton truck - it got me out of the ridiculous, over-inflated vehicle valuation transit tax that had more than doubled the renewal for the RAM. Passenger trucks between 6K and 12K registered weight are exempt from that so now the tabs are $110 which is about 1/3 of what the DW's CR-V is...

Ah yes. Used to cost me $1100 in KS. Moved to AL and it was $90 when I registered it the other day.

Scheduled mine in for 2 recalls. One for some type of B pillar and one for the tailgate potentially coming open while traveling. Not good if pulling the fiver!
