Hey, that's great news!

Bought a set of used Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs with about 2k miles on them. Got them for 1/2 price of new. These will get mounted to some steel take-offs for winter use.

Finally fixed an annoying rattle I had for months. I replaced the idler arm and a tie rod end trying to figure it out but it turned out to be a problem with a shock bushing.

Just finished washing the TV. Got all the bugs/grime off from our Memorial Day weekend in Arkansas. It's all ready for the next road trip to Top Sail SP next month.

Just replaced the plastic charge air cooler pipe with an upgraded aluminum one. Now no worries of a popped inter cooler hose while towing

New friend

What did I do to my tow vehicle today?

I put the down payment on a new friend for it. Jayco Whitehawk 25BHS.

I think they will play well together and have many a fun outing.

We sold our Jay Feather X17A yesterday and I am already lonely for a new trailer.

Sounds like you're familiar with this type of upgrade, especially with the 6.0 [emoji3]
Had to do the same on my old 06 as well

Getting ready for a deer lease "maintenance" trip this weekend, loading the truck up with supplies and materials. My truck works HARD out at the deer lease. But this is the kind of work it was meant for!

I like that cover. I cheaped out with a budget trifold and I'm kicking myself.

I cheaped out with budget tri-fold too, and I won't say I'm kicking myself at this point, but I'm sure thinking about how that foot of mine might make contact with my posterior.

Those Bak Flips are nice for sure!

This was yesterday :

I started today by getting the truck inspected this morning. Swapping out my steering box was the next plan for the day. Of course I did not have a 46mm socket for the pitman arm nut so I used a large pipe wrench. Sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do.
Fighting with the dang pitman arm for a while was next. My puller was too small. The one I rented from Autozone was "Heavy Duty" but still a bit small. So I took off the drag link and left the pitman arm in place. Now it is time for the power steering hoses. Why would anyone engineer these things with 20mm fittings. Of course I do not have a 20mm line wrench or any 20mm wrench, nope. I have 19 and 21 but not 20. Off to the stores. I found a 13/16 line wrench at Harbor Freight. I did find a 20mm wrench at Home Depot. Now I have PS fluid leaking all over the place and I need to get the new box in. I beat the heck out of the pitman arm with a 3lb mall to get the pitman arm off. Finally! As my luck has it I slipped and dropped the gearbox in the drain pan and splashed oil and PS fluid all over me. Time to get really dirty and get this steering box installed once and for all. My left arm was covered in PS fluid by the time I got the 3 bolts started that hold in the steering box. Well, the 20mm wrench is too long to get in there and actually turn the nut. The 13/16 got the lines off but slips when trying to tighten them up. I ended up ordering a 20mm crowfoot on Amazon so tightening the lines are on hold and the truck will be sitting in the side driveway up on jack stands for a few days.

I wound up having to remove the air cleaner, plastic cac tube, battery and battery tray to gain access to the top of the steering box.

I did notice the lower radiator hose was rubbing on the steering box and has a big divet in it. Only a matter of time before it blows. A new lower hose is already ordered.

Oh, did I mention that during all this nonsense I had to drive the neighbor to Autozone to get new brake pads for his Expedition. The drop off my daughter at the beach to meet up with friends. Then go back to Autozone and get the pitman arm puller. While I was out I had to go pick up my daughter at the beach. Then I get told I have to drive the wife and kids to the mall. and then I had to grill some chicken for dinner. No wonder this is taking forever.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
