Put it in the garage to hide it from a potential hail storm that never ended up happening. Better safe than sorry, drove the '06 today...

Bob, did the same thing on Saturday but the hail did come. No real damage as the stones wern't that big! Still hail in Chicago in early April is unusual. But what hasn't been unusual this winter, right.

Had my oil and filter changed, put in full Synthetic, getting ready for towing season. Will be taking off in a couple of weeks to a three-week trip. Had a little gremlin. When I picked up the truck there was about three quarts of oil left in the container I had provided. Took it home and tried to find oil on the dipstick to no avail. Finally poured the other three quarts in and could find it on the dipstick. Went back to the dealer and mentioned that someone didn't know they were dealing with a diesel pickup, in spite of the DURAMAX logo on the hood. Work order said gas and I guess the tech was too inexperienced to think for himself. Have to be a little careful about those things. Don't know if seven quarts would have been enough for our trip and would hate to be stuck with a blown engine far away from home.

Cleaned the wheels after the brake dust from our maiden voyage break in made them real dirty. Stowed a small 12v Goodyear air inflator I bought at costco. Good to 130psi for truck and trailer tire top offs on the road.

Have the same compressor behind the seat in my truck. Used it on the trailer twice.

Put some new wheels/tires on her! Also moved the snowplow from the garage to the storage shed. I went with Cooper Discoverer AT3's LT275/70R18 on some Granite Alloy GV-6 wheels.

Hooked it up to the camper for the first tow of the season!

Now I just need to finish work so I can go. 4pm can't come soon enough!

Flush and fill with new coolant. Replaced upper and lower hoses while I was at it.

The black highlighting looks sharp...., amazing how an old rim can be brought back to life and have a new look.

Nothing special, filled with diesel, put in additive, washed the windows, ran through the car wash and then hooked up to the FW to get ready to take off for 20 days tomorrow.

Picked it up from the dealer after getting new serpentine belt and fan clutch assembly..... Good thing I have an extended warranty or would have cost me $1200 or so.....
